The MapDashboard WebApp provides users with a rich
library of visual components, including 8 categories: Layout,
Map, Map subcomponents,
Geographic knowledge map, Chart,
Basic, Data,
Tool, etc. You can create different types
of components by using simple interactive operations to create visual
dashboard applications.
Adding and using components: Click 'Components' in
the left hand sidebar and it will show the component panel, select the
component you need and drag it to the dashboard page. Here are the
introduction of component usage.
- Data source of components: Some components
need to work with data. MapDashboard WebApp provides a data panel
to add, view, and manage data involved in these components, please
see: Add and manage data.
- Properties of components: The component
properties can be divided into basic properties and specific properties.
The basic properties can be applied to all components, please see:
Basic properties of components.
The specific properties can be applied to a specific component, please
see the documentation of each component.
- Component interaction settings: The MapDashboard
WebApp provides components with a wealth of interactive operations
to link components. Thus you can observe and understand data in different
ways, please see: Component interaction
settings.
- Developing custom components: The MapDashboard
supports users to develop new components. We provides several custom
component demos for trial use. Please see Component
development guide to develop custom components.
After adding the visual components, you can further
set other useful settings for the dashboard.
